Geocache Description:

Come join the Florida Geocaching Association for a weekend of finds, fellowship and food at the McGregor Smith Scout Reservation. The event site is conveniently located on SR 44, 6 miles East of Inverness, and just a few miles west of the Leesburg exit of I-75 near the junction with the Florida Turnpike.

We'll start with breakfast at 8:00 AM - FGA will set out coffee, juice and donuts - and provide information on the rest of the day's opportunities and activities then. Your FGA Board Members are going to make sure that everyone can have a very Busy Day.

The Scouts do charge a nominal fee for the use of the facility. If you are attending only this event the cost is $3 per person. If you are camping for the weekend or plan on attending all of the events, the cost is $5 per person. Campsites will be available after 6 P.M. on Friday. See the FGA website for information on how to reserve a campsite and make payments through PayPal.

There will be a travel bug and Geocoin trading table so bring your travelers so they can be traded. If you have a personal collections and want to share, please bring them too!

We'll have dinner around 6. FGA will provide the main course plus plates, napkins, plastic wear, condiments, ice, coolers and drinks. We ask that everyone attending this event please bring a dish to share. Based on your last name, please bring the following:

* A-E Desserts

* F-J Potato/pasta or other type salad

* K-O Snacks

* P-Z Veggies or fruit and dip

Electrical outlets are available at the main pavillion and in the campsites. We have reserved the kitchen for the day so if you need to keep any foods refrigerated or have something that needs heating just ask one of the FGA Reps.

Keep checking the FGA website for updates and announcements.
