"R U A TOWNIE?" Rae's Pizza Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

blackdogivy: This is a totally neat area, especially in the osage trees. But in the past 2 years, it has become a local hotspot and keeping a cache here will be difficult. TY to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

Grew up in the Wauconda/Island Lake area in the past 50 years or so?  Even smaller subdivisions; Williams Park, Mylith Park, Porten's Sub, FRVG, will surely recall Rae's Pizza...

Rae's Pizza owned by the Pintozzi's was a small white building on 176 in Island Lake when they opened across the street in the plaza.  2 words: Italian Beef!

She could truly make the most wonderful pizza-townies still talk about it!

Located at the Lake County Forest Preserve- if you are a townie, then you know where this cache is! Also is located nearby my first cache find-archived Lakewood Mound.

Congrats to VBTZ on FTF!
