Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden among several California Buckeye trees.  These trees have beautiful blooms in the spring and drop poisonous buckeye seeds in the fall.

This easy cache is off a nice dirt bicycle/hiking trail in Folsom Lake State Park.  The trail offers great views of Folsom Lake from the South.

For no fee access to the Park, park on Sophia Pkwy at Green Valley Rd and walk up the gravel road to the North.  Take the first small trail to the right which goes to the main trail.  The trail goes through wooded areas.  In wet weather, it will get muddy but is passable.

A shorter trail of about 15 minutes is available from the Browns Ravine Marina but it is in a fee area.  The trail goes toward the West beginning near the entrance off Green Valley Road. Free parking may be available across Green Valley Road.

Rattlesnakes populate the land in this part of the State.  They are sometimes seen in this Park.  Please take snake precautions.

Please bring your own pen.
