In 2004, we were blessed with our first dachshund named Sammy and in 2006 Scooter followed. They are our “boys” and just as spoiled (if not more so) than any human child. We started caching in 2012 and Team Doxie just seemed like the perfect name. This geoart is put out in their honor and they now own a piece of the map. Look for the giant doxie next time you are in outer space and are looking back at the Earth.
When hunting this series (86 total caches), you will be hunting MKH’s, Paint-By-Number containers, Lock & Locks, Moop containers and other various hides. Most caches are park & grabs but there are a few that you will need to take a short hike to find. You may need a couple days to complete the series but it is doable in one for those who have the time and get an early start.
We have not added baggies to make this quicker to find & sign.
Lastly, some things to remember…..BYOP, most containers are not swagable, be safe on the country roads, put back as found, play fair, make memories, enjoy the game and hug a Doxie!
