Geocache Description:

Thanks are due to "Dr. Sevy" as the original hider of this classic cache. The solid-rock-seekers adopted the cache in 2021 to continue to maintain it for future generations of cachers to enjoy. Cache container is now a 1.3-liter Lock-n-Lock. We added parking and trailhead coords.

Original Cache Description (by Dr. Sevy) Below:

Cache is at the Chandler Wildlife Park off of Route 109 in Tuftonboro, NH. 

Cache is a medium-sized plastic container with a blue top. Original contents are Spiney the travel bug, kaleidoscope, CD rom game, music CD, simulated heart model, Frank Zappa 8 track tape,a small troll that had not fully grown, pocket protector, salamander, and assorted small items, log book in zip lock.(L-BIZL)

Trail starts at Chandler "Wild Park" as compared to a regular "Park." Is that a wild park or a Sears park -F. Zappa 1972. At 20 mile Bay across from the Big Lake. Take small dirt driveway after Chandler Road(paved) if your'e heading South on Route 109 towards Wolfeboro, or just before Chandler Road if you're heading North from Wolfeboro. Bear Right immediately after turning into driveway (at sign). You'll see a chalet-style cottage straight ahead. Park in grassy area right off of trail. Take the left fork at start of trail and follow the blue blazes. cache is about 200 feet off of the trail. About 1/2 mile from parking area. Please make sure the cache cover is on securely and please do not disturb the tremendous fungal splenditude. Be sure to follow the trail beyond the cache as it loops around the field to the old Chandler cemetary and then skirts the edge of quiet and peaceful Copp's Pond Marsh before looping back onto the trail to the parking area.

A nice flat walk or run or cross country ski or snow shoe hiking trail.

While you're in the area be sure to take the short hike up to Abenaki Tower with sweeping views of the Big Lake. The parking area is just up the road (Route 109) about .2 mile North.
