Geocache Description:

In Pachaug State Forest - Moderate walk on the Quinebaug Trail, some bushwacking through leaves, rocks and fallen trees

Cache is a clear Rubbermaid container with white lid. Contents include a couple Matchbox cars, a Todd Rundgren CD, a set of Button Men (a rather cool dice game,) a disposable camera (take a pic of yourself!! If it's the last one, email me so I can post them,) and a small log book.
Placed near the Devil's Den (a large rock formation with small caves inside) just off the blue-blazed Quinebaug Trail in the Plainfield area of the Patchaug State Forest. There are a couple ways in - Come into the small dirt parking area (N41deg 39.017 min W71deg 52.417min)on Flat Rock Rd (starts paved, changes to rough dirt, then becomes impassable to cars - it's about a 1/2 mile hike from there,) or you can catch the trailhead off Spaulding Rd in Plainfield (N 41deg 40.407 min W71deg 52.701min - about a 1.5 - 2 mile hike) - you can also take the trail from Hell Hollow Rd north to Flat Rock Rd.

WARNING - Be alert for dirt bikes on this section of the trail. Also, Pachaug is a hunted forest, except on Sundays. Wear something bright, preferably orange. This part of Pachaug Forest is very nice and a great place for a day hike. Have Fun!!!
