Geocache Description:

This beautiful North Lawson bush is teeming with local flora and fauna. Many different birds are regularly seen here - the beautiful Yellow Tailed Cockatoos, Fairy Wrens, Red Browed Finches, assorted honeyeaters, parrots and robins all year round and seasonal visitors such as the Rufous Fantail, Sacred Kingfisher and Gang Gangs to name a few. Spring and summer see an explosion of orchids and other colourful flowers such as the Native Hyacinth, Bearded Orchid, Spotted Sun Orrchid and Flannel Flowers. Magnificent Scribbly Gums, Angophoras and many varieties of Wattle line the track. Keep an eye out for the lovely Mountain Devil lizards, tiny and well camouflaged This whole area really is paradise.

Most bushwalkers in the area do the Empire Pass circuit (well worth doing) but don’t often venture down this track as it’s not a signposted walk. There is one short downhill section which should be manageable for any level of fitness.

The cache is lunchbox size and contains swaps and a first to find scratchie.

Park at the Dante’s Glen carpark.
