Geocache Description:

This is a field puzzle. Can you open it? Requires a bit of finger strength so not advisable for small kiddies. And — PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS!

I saw a new type of plumbing fitting in our local hardware shop and instantly thought 'geocache!'  A bit of work with bandsaw and lathe and the manufacturers wouldn't recognise it, but the essential guts now present you a challenge: The cache starts with three pieces. Your task is to make it four pieces! (And thereby discover the log scroll.)

It may be an unconventional cache but it's in a very easy bog-standard common geocache type hiding hole. Parking is available at S34 58.114 E117 23.267. Drive through the Springdale Estate and look for roads heading south. And an obligatory warning: there may be snakes around. You would be pretty unlucky to see one, but if you do, make sure he sees you and he will slither away.

Good luck!

WARNING! When replacing the cache please resist the urge to bury it! Three times it has been buried over 200mm deep. This is against the rules for geocaching, and it makes finding very difficult.

Also, once you have solved the puzzle, please return it to the original "three pieces." so the next finder can be equally frustrated!
