Rylstone Gardens sits on the south side of Shanklin Chine, a fissure in the cliff with plants and waterfalls that is a popular tourist attraction and well worth a visit whilst you're in the area. If you are starting from the bottom there are also steps up from the bottom of the cliff - quite a few steps!
The park has a bandstand, crazy golf, toilets, tearooms and an aviary, as well as wonderful views across the English Channel. At quiet times and when no dogs are around you may well see red squirrels on the lawn - sit on a bench and wait quietly, you may be rewarded.
If you go to the park on a Sunday afternoon you might just hear the band playing - it's free entertainment while you cache.
A busy public park, watch out for civilians and their dogs! There's also the possibility this cache might get interfered with, so do let us know if you think this has happened.
