Things on the bayou keep looking up.
Four years ago, PaddleBR launched out on Bayou Fountain on a mission to turn it into a paddle trail. Five months of hard labor later, we had cleared all the fallen trees, logjams (one 65 yards long!), and other blockages, and Bayou Fountain was finally clear for paddling. This spring, BREC built the first bespoke paddle launch in what will one day be an entire connected blueway system, and the soft open came a week into April.
To celebrate the long awaited ribbon cutting, set for October 15, 2017, we figured we should finally get around to putting a cache out on the bayou. We've had an eye on the perfect spot for quite a while now, and it was even better than we'd expected.
This is a true one-star difficulty cache. You should have no problem whatsoever in locating the cache container. This is also a five-star terrain cache, and not just because you need to paddle to get to it. Seeing the cache is not sufficient to call it a find. You have to sign the logbook. (You don't have to be the person to set hands on the container, but someone obviously must.)
