Geocache Description:

PLEASE BE CAREFUL. YOU MIGHT WANT TO THROW YOUR HIKING POLE DOWN HILL TO SCARE AWAY ANY UNFRIENDLY CRITTERS NEAR BY!

This is a Hike and Eat cache. You'll have a total hike of about a mile + and the cache includes a delicious recipe to make at the end of the hike. The recipe for this Hike is Campfire Veggies.

This Hike and Eat Cache is located outside of Grafton, WV in the Tygart Lake State Park. The Woodland Trail runs between the camping and cabin area of the park and Picnic Area #3 near the Administration Building. The Trail is approximately 1 1/2 miles long and includes a steep climb up the hill. You can park at either end of the trail. The cache is located a little more than 1/2 mile from the camping end of the trail.

The cache is located not far from the edge of the trail and requires almost no bushwacking. The cache is a camo-taped 2 inch PVC pipe. It is small, but has room for a log, a pen and a few small items.

This cache was inspired by caches I found in the Nevada desert. They scared me half to death! Be careful of creepy, crawly creatures when accessing the cache.

Cachers who search for this cache in the next month or two will probably find it easily. I suspect that it will become harder the longer it is out there. Be sure to log your DNFs. If this becomes very difficult, I'll either increase the difficulty level or clean it up to make it easier.

It took a while to build a new home for this cache, so the GPSr had plenty of time to average the coordinates. They should be accurate.

Enjoy your hike and your Campfire Veggies!

And don't forget to pick up your hiking stick :-)
