Geocache Description:

The cache location is one of the most elevated sites in Hayle,affording impressive views over the Town and Estuary towards St Ives Bay ,Lelant and on the skyline Trencrom Hill!
This multi is designed for all the family it only has a very short walking distance between each cache location and could easily be completed in half an hour!

The Plantation was originally the area of land known as Carnsew Point.
The site goes back to Prehistoric times when an Iron Age Castle was situated at the top.
The Cliff Castle was likely to have been used as a lookout for seaborne invasions and possibly for the storage of Tin prior to shipping!
