CITO 2017: VETERAN'S BALLFIELD PARK ON LONG ISLAND, N.Y.
On Sunday, April 23, 2017 celebrate the worldwide Earth Day initiative with fellow Geocachers and Environmentalists to earn this year's 2017 CITO electronic souvenir.
Update: When you attend this CITO, you will also earn a second electronic souvenir for 3-million geocaches. To find the souvenir, one must find a geocache or attend an event on April 22 or 23, 2017. HQ wants a celebration to thank Geocachers everywhere for making 3 million geocaches happen.
For the fourth year, I have chosen another Long Island park with baseball fields
because baseball is one of my favorite sports and lots of fun.

CITO will be at Boyle Road sidewalks and woodsy edges
Directions:
Go East on Middle Country Road (Rte 25) to Boyle Road (between Independence Shopping Center & Chase Bank) in Selden;
Go North on Boyle Road for 1.5 miles;
Go across Hawkins Road intersection to Ballfield on the left side

Veteran's Park field construction has been delayed to be completed on May 1
Our CITO will be in the woodsy areas on both sides of the parking lot and across the street
It will also be along the sidewalks of Boyle Road
We will not be going into any of the construction areas

Ballfield Park is undergoing a large capital project renovation from January 1-May 1, 2017, though our CITO continues, limited to the woodsy edges and sidewalks.
