NEWS. Nei primi giorni del 2016 sono cominciate (e procedono veloci) le operazioni di demolizione dei capannoni della corderia. Probabilmente si salverà l'edificio che ospita i macchinari che verrà convertito, sembra, in un museo. Speriamo che la nostra cache possa ancora durare!
La prima cache di Viserba!
La cache, una torcia elettrica nera con aggancio magnetico, è posizionata sulla recinzione, non serve entrare per trovarla.
ATTENZIONE: Proprio di fronte alla cache c'è un bar, raccomandiamo quindi la massima discrezione ed attenzione a cercare e riposizionare la cache.
Consigliamo di parcheggiare la macchina nello spiazzo proprio adiacente alla cache cosicchè siate più protetti dagli sguardi indiscreti.
LA STORIA E LA LEGGENDA
La CORDERIA di Viserba è un complesso industriale in disuso dalla guerra utilizzato durante il conflitto come supporto logistico militare prima dai tedeschi poi dagli americani.
Una stupenda macchina a vapore, serbatoi di aerei P51, una gigantesca caldaia e alcuni dipinti murali sono solo alcuni dei tesori custoditi tra queste antiche mura che ancora oggi mostrano le ferite dei colpi dell artiglieria.
E' un'area vastissima ed ormai riconquistata dalla natura, a pochi metri dalle case di via Marconi.
Uno sguardo all'immagine satellitare permette di comprenderne l'estensione e lo stato attuale.
Per noi della zona, la corderia è stato un luogo di scoperte e avventure, dove in gioventù si trascorrevano interi pomeriggi alla ricerca di cunicoli ed anfratti.

L'area è privata e NON è consentito l'accesso anche se molti ragazzi scavalcano il basso cancello proprio vicino alla cache per avventurarsi nel passato.
Si dice che l'area lato mare, quella cioè più impervia ed isolata, debba essere bonificata dagli ordigni bellici alleati lanciati fino al 43.
LEGGENDE
Si narravano molte leggende (metropolitane??) sulla corderia tra le quali:
- Se il guardiano (chissà se è mai esistito) ti vede, non esita a spararti con il suo fucile caricato a sale;
- Durante l'occupazione tedesca, le SS avevano convertito la caldaia in forno crematorio;
- All'interno del serbatoio della torre idrica ci sono i resti di un soldato tedesco che si è sparato;
- Nei sotterranei della macchina a vapore, il tunnel è murato per nascondere le armi abbandonate durante la ritirata;
- La corda che spenzola dal grande portale serviva per le impiccagioni dei traditori;
- Tutta la corderia è percorsa da tunnel sotterranei per permettere ai militari di spostarsi durante i bombardamenti. In merito a quest'ultima leggenda devo dire che alcuni di quei tunnel li ho anche percorsi personalmente, ma ad oggi credo che fossero solo condotte di servizio tecnico o canali di scolo.
- Nella corderia si fanno le messe nere;
Purtroppo, da molti anni, su questa area ormai oasi naturale, incombe la spada dei "palazzinari", quando questo accadrà, la cache sparirà..quindi non aspettate a scoprirla.

The first cache of Viserba!
The cache, is a black magnetic torch light placed along the enclosure of the CORDERIA (rope factory), no need to go in to find it.
WARING: Just in front of to the cache, there is a bar with many mugglers, then we recommend the discretion and attention to find and replace the cache. We suggest to park the car right in front of the cache so that it covers you.
NOTE. To open the cache you will need a cross head screwdriver.
HISTORY AND LEGEND
The CORDERIA (Rope factoy) of Viserba is a disused industrial site used for 65 years during the war as the first military logistic support by the Germans, then by the Americans.
A magnificent steam engine, tanks of P51 planes ,a giant boiler and wall paintings are just some of the treasures of these ancient walls still show the wounds of shots of artillery.
It 'a very large area and now reclaimed by nature, a few meters away from the houses of Marconi way.
A look at the satellite image allows you to understand the extent and current status.
For us in the area, the rope was a place of discovery and adventure, where in our youth were spent entire afternoons in search of tunnels and caves.

The area is private and is NOT allowed access even though many people climbing over the low gate near the cache to venture into the past.
It is said that the area sea side, the one that is more rugged and isolated, must be reclaimed by the allies launched ordnance up to 43.
LEGENDS
Many urban legends were told about corderia including:
- If the guardian (who knows if it ever existed) sees you, do not hesitate to shoot you with his gun loaded with salt;
- During the German occupation, the SS had converted the boiler in a crematorium;
- Inside the the water tank tower are the remains of a German soldier who shot himself;
- In the basement of the steam engine, the tunnel is bricked to hide weapons abandoned during the retreat;
- The rope dangling from the great portal was used for the hanging of the traitors;
- The whole corderia is crossed by underground tunnels to allow the military to move in the bombing. With regard to this, I have personally visited some of those tunnels paths , but now I think they were only technical services or drains.
- Inside corderia they do the black masses;
Unfortunately, for many years, now this area of ??nature reserve, lies the sword of "palazzinari", when that happens, the cache will disappear .. so do not hesitate to discover it.
