Nearby is Lexmano's Geocaching's Mile High Club, challenge cache GC2V9ZF. Many of you have easily qualified for this cache and subsequently logged it. However, let's double the ante and requirements for this and see how many of you are able to qualify!
In order to qualify for this Challenge Cache, you must have found a TRADITIONAL , Multi Stage, Whereigo, Letterbox or Mystery where the final PHYSICAL location is over 2 miles/ 10,560 feet or over in elevation (physical cache: no Virtual, Earthcache, CITO or Event or locationless cache).
If the cache you are using to qualify for this Challenge is archived, it is still ok. You may use it.
In your log please post the GC number, Cache name, and date , and elevation of your find that was over 2 miles high in elevation. Feel free to post a photo of your qualifying find as well if you wish however this is not required.
I myself have qualified for this Challenge with several finds in Utah and Colorado.
Cache is located AT the posted cords and is a very easy magnetic container. BYOP as cache has only a log in it.
NOTE: 4/11/12 I have adjusted the terrain rating and difficulty to reflect what a Geocacher would have to accomplish in the requirements to be allowed to log this cache. The terrain of this actual physical cache is in fact a "1" and the difficulty of the actual physical cache is also a "1"
Bonus points if you can explain why the cache is located in this particular location..... Yes, there IS a reason!
