Geocache Description:

Nearly 2,000 years ago the Romans built a group of fortifications overlooking the central moorlands of the National Park. This easygoing 1-mile trail offers you the opportunity to discover these remarkable earthworks and to imagine what life must have been like for the legionnaires who built them.

Please stay on the paths to find the cache, to prevent further erosion of this important site.

The views from the escarpment almost defy description – from this vantage point the splendour of the North York Moors unfolds in front of you.

The whole walk takes about 45 mins and is child and pushchair friendly ( one small section is 'off road' ) but do-able. i'm not sure if a wheelchair would manage it. sorry.

please watch out for muggles and their dogs ( who sadly often seem to leave presents behind )

When you find the cache, please hide it carefully again :0)
