The cache is not at the published coordinates.
The real coordinates are: N 54° 1*.*** W 000° 2*.***
This is the final cache in the trident of puzzles. To obtain the coordinates, you will need to have the solved coordinates for all the other caches in the trident. The other caches can be solved as stand alone caches in any order. If you have already found any of these caches (and I verify!) but have misplaced the coordinates, you may message me to obtain them.
There are no additional logging requirements. It is not necessary to find any of the other caches to find this one.
You will need to obtain an 8-digit number from each of the other 10 caches by taking it from the solved coordinates, which are in the following format:
N 54° 1*.*** W 000° 2*.***
The digits where the asterisks appear instead are those that comprise the 8-digit number you need.
For example, for a cache hidden at N 54° 19.876 W 000° 25.432, you'd want the single number 98,765,432.
You then need to rotate the digits left or right as specified in the table below, wrapping around the ends.
For example, shifting 98,765,432 to the right 3 places will give 43,298,765. Shifting to the left 1 place instead will give 87,654,329.
NOTE: 4 puzzles have had their final coordinates changed since publication. I mention this in case you solved any of these puzzle before their updates. To be clear, it is the new coordinates that are needed. The changes are as follows:
GC9228H "It's Perfectly Logical", on 2 November 2020, had its northings increased by 4 and westings increased by 3.
GC95FPC "Uncharted Worlds", on 23 May 2021, had its westings reduced by 1.
GC9JNXJ "See How I Roll", on 3 July 2022, had its northings increased by 246 and its westings reduced by 106, but the digit before the decimal point for the westings increased by 1.
Then, on 13 February 2023, it had its northing increased further by 4 and its westings increased by 33.
GC94KP6 "Element of Surprise", on 11 August 2023, had its northings reduced by 31 and its westings increased by 37.
let x = the sum of all 10 of these 8-digit numbers
Work out the answer to:
(x + 9) / 10 + 2,327,889
This will give you an 8-digit number to fill in the blanks in the coordinates.
