Site of the the oldest road over the Franschoek Pass
The cache is located near a beacon commemorating the path of the oldest road over the Franschhoek Pass between Paarl and Villiersdorp. Take the pass road from either town and at the top of the pass park at S33 54.352 and E 019 09.389 at the start of the track and walk up the track for about 80 meteres until you see the beacon commemorating the old Cats Road. Standing at the beacon,facing North, the cache is hidden due West under a solitary rock about 20 meters away. The cache is under the rock in a cavity closed off with stones. Be cautious as there may well be people sightseeing around you.
