School's Out!!
I thought it appropriate since I am a school teacher and all
the members of the "G" team are in school or have been
to school to make our first hide a School Days theme. We picked
for our location a very special place that once was the original
Weyerhauser Elementary School built in 1927 by Mr. Bresemann.
There is quite a story behind this unique building but the real
story is yet to come. My good friends Ben & Lisa Coss are
the current owners and reside in a trailer behind the school.
Make sure you wave and say hi to them or even stop and chat if
you're interested in some of the history behind this old building.
They would love to tell you about it and their new plans. Ben
& Lisa literally sold everything they had and moved into the
trailer with the hopes and dreams of restoring this old school
and making it a shelter for orphaned children. The miraculous
things that have fallen into place to allow this to occur are
amazing and best left for these wonderful people to share. This
is truly a miraculous spot and more amazing miracles are yet to
come. Enjoy your find and may God truly bless you on this visit.
Items in the cache are mostly a school days theme. No need
to stick to the theme for trading but you are welcome to. There
are postcard photos of the school that you may take (no need to
trade) and First to Find please take the First To Find certificate
suitable for framing and display it with pride!
We are also making this cache the launching point for "Coach
Bob" the travel bug school bus. He is on a mission to photograph
unique school buildings built pre 1930's. If you can help him
on his mission feel free to take him!
We are also asking that when you log your find that you also
include something about your favorite school teacher growing up
and what you remember learning the most from these wonderful people
that helped shape our lives. Thanks! Sincerely, Bad Shark &
The "G" Team.
