Don't 'Fall' In Traditional Geocache

fins up: I think its time to archive this cache. It has come up missing three times now and we are just not able to replace it again and keep it going. Thank you to all that have found this and enjoyed coming to the Falls. There are other caches in the area that I know will bring cachers in to enjoy the Falls in the future.

Geocache Description:

Trail system off M-68 - Ample parking at Falls parking lot. Please start this cache find at the Falls parking lot to get the full benefit of a nice short walk along the pathway to the cache.

OCQUEOC FALLS - The largest falls in Lower Michigan, was a popular meeting spot for local indian tribes. Originally the river consisted of a series of rapids. During the logging boom of the 1800's, pine logs tumbling over the rapids began to carve out holes in the limestone base, eventually changing the rapids into the 'falls' we see today. Now this is a favorite spot for picnics and a great swimming hole on a hot day. Items are in a marked ammo box. Cache contents consist of local souvenirs, flashlight, calculator, water gun, ball, cutesy notepad and other items. ******Please take time to make sure container is covered so others don't see anything when using the pathway. 11-14-05 ******** PLEASE NOTE: This cache was replaced today with a new container, small cammoflaged plastic military decon box which will hold smaller items. Bring your signature cards to trade!
