Geocache Description:

This cache resurrects and celebrates a Team Lympago hide which was archived recently.

The cache holds huge significance to both Mickeydv and myself so we couldn't let the location go cacheless for long.

Well, where to begin. It's a story that many of the old timers know and some others wish they didn't have to know.

Mickeydv logged his first find on 06/03/2009 and that cache was Como Capers. As is typical of many introduction to caching stories, Mickeydv lived nearby and headed to this beautiful location to search and ultimately log a find.

Fast forward a few years, and on 18/08/2011 I logged my first find. As was the case for my first few hundred finds, I didn't use a GPSr; I either studied the online map and tried to memorise the location or drew a "mud map" and hoped for the best. During this time, a friend and I cycled around Canning and Mt Henry bridges trying to find caches. Without a GPSr we had mixed success but a fantastic time. In those days, almost the entire loop around this section of river was Mickeydv hides. Upon reading some of my logs and subsequently stalking me online to assess my suitability, he contacted me and came to the rescue. A caching date was set and we both rode to meet at...you guessed it, Como Capers. Without a GPSr, I stood little chance of logging a find here so ultimately Mickeydv found the cache for me....aaaaaaw! As my log on 02/10/2011 reflects, "Found with help from Mickeydv's GPS. I was looking in totally the wrong place...."

We rode the loop my friend and I had ridden previously, under the pretext that he needed to do some maintenance anyway. For those who know Mickeydv, the irony of him and cache maintenance is not lost. We parted ways and I continued caching using my mud map system.

Of course, he was overcome by my beauty, and couldn't resist a further meeting. To cut an already long story short, the rest, as they say, is a history of two emotive people who met through caching and Como Capers remains the single most important cache for us both. Sadly over the years, the location has become a hotspot for people who leave trash behind but, take a few steps toward the river, and one of the best views of the Swan River can be seen.

If you want to know where the cache is hidden, keep reading. The cache is a reasonably flatfish sistema sprayed black. It is hidden in the same location as I replaced the original Como Capers when it went missing, which is tucked against the trunk of a sloping tree. Best access to the clump of shrubs where the cache is hidden is from the river side of the clump. The cache is large enough for swaps. As is customary for this style of hide, in addition to a log, there is a stamp and pad for those who wish to stamp.
