BW 3: It's A Cinderella Story Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

GeoRedheads: Sad day for GeoRedheads -- but it's time to archive the Caddyshack Series. It's been a lot of fun, but it's a lot of maintenance. One of the challenges of hiding caches near golf courses is that there are people hired to maintain the courses, who take a different view of little plastic containers hidden within 100' of their finely maintained landscape.

Opening the space up for other caches -- enjoy!

Geocache Description:

Welcome back to Bushwood Country Club, 3rd Tee, Par 5, 455 Yards: Small 35mm container @ Oakhurst Country Club

What an incredible Cinderella story!
This unknown, comes out of nowhere, to lead the pack, at Augusta. He's on his final hole. He's about 455 yards away. He's going to hit about a two iron, I think. Boy, he got all of that. The crowd is standing on its feet here at Augusta.
The normally reserved Augusta crowd is going wild. For this young Cinderella, who has come out of nowhere. He's got about 350 yards left. He's going to hit about a five iron it looks like. Don't you think? He's got a beautiful back swing. That's, oh! He got all of that one! He's got to be pleased with that.
The crowd is just on its feet here. He's a Cinderella boy. Tears in his eyes, I guess, as he lines up this last shot. He's got about 195 yards left, and he's got, looks like he's got an eight iron. This crowd has gone deadly silent. Cinderella story. Out of nowhere. A former greens keeper, now about to become the Master's champion. It looks like a mirac...

It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

In honor of Caddyshack’s 30th Anniversary, we introduce the Bushwood Memorial Cache series, hidden near golf courses around the East Bay. Back in 1980, Caddyshack was an instant classic, insanely silly and sophomoric, but packed with star power comedians of the era, and dozens of classic one-liners that still get laughs today.

To join the Caddy Tournament, find any of the first 18 Bushwood caches. Solve the front 9, in any order you choose, do the same for the back 9, and collect invitations for the 19th hole Leaderboard payoff! It’s not going to be easy, there’s a lot of caches to find, but if you’re like me, you’ll be giggling the whole way.

This cache, when found will have a letter identifier (e.g. Z=3) which can be used later to find the tee for the 9th hole. Make sure to have your caddy write the letter down on your scorecard, and replace your divots when you’re done.

This is a small cache, 35mm container, containing log only. BYOP.
