there from 6:30pm onwards.
Still reeling over the shock of being asked last night to host
the next Hampshire Monthly Midweek Cache Event in December. (Thanks
Mik!) I have wasted no time in tracking down a suitable venue … Not an
easy task considering the multitude of office parties occurring
during the festive period.
However after a lengthy discussion with Helen, the very charming
and helpful restaurant manageress, I have managed to secure an area
of the pub which will hopefully be large enough for our
get-together.
The pub is a very popular place and is already catering for over
fifty people eating that night (from 7:30PM on), as well as
providing a buffet for the function room above. I have however
managed to secure enough table space for 22 people to eat. There
are other tables available within the pub, but these are not
bookable in advance. Therefore if you are tempted by any of the
food on offer (see related web site for menu), excluding the
Xmas menu and would like to reserve your seat/s, please post a note
on this cache page stating the number of seats required and the
food you wish to order by close of play on the 30th Nov. 2009. I
will then pass this along to Helen, who will ensure you receive
what you ordered. It is recommended that if you do intend eating,
to place your order before 7:30PM to beat the rush.
There is also another meal option available in the form of the
legendary “Micks Monster burger van” situated opposite the pub at
Portsdown Hill viewpoint – yum,yum!
The famous red ammo box will be in attendance where you can
deposit your coins and travel bugs that can be discovered or moved
on. And of course there will be ‘Megan’s’ raffle with some
excellent prizes of coins and other geo items. So let’s make #12
the best one yet and ‘ave a bit of a laugh.
If you have not been to an event cache and would like to experience

swap/discover trackables and your caching stories, please come
