Blarney Island is located on Grass Lake near Antioch, Illinois (just south of the Wisconsin border).
The shuttle boat is $8 round trip and runs every half hour from the Port of Blarney to the Island.
(Shuttle fee may be discounted or waived if enough participate: An announcement will be made.)
It is possible to get there by motor boat (but kayaks, canoes and rowboats are not recommended).
There are places nearby to launch boats. Both Illinois and Fox River registration stickers are required.
There is camping nearby at Chain O'Lakes State Park.
Why not making it a full caching day?? There are many fine caches in the area.
And there will be two new caches (including one on the island).
Then head south for the 5pm Cheeseburgers in Paradise event in Downers Grove (GC6KBNN).
