More recently this park was a rather popular "stop" in another augmented reality game.
The park was playing host to hundreds of players at all times of night and day in the first few weeks of July 2016.
The action frequently spilled onto Mary st, causing traffic chaos, with crowds standing in the street, vehicles double parked and crawling around trying to find a non existent parking spot. Entrepreneurial locals pushed shopping trolleys full of soft drinks in and sold them to the gathered masses. The many residents in properties around the park became quite irate with eggs and waterbombs being cast off balconies in an effort to dissuade the 24/7 gatherings.
Due to vocal community and council requests the stops were removed in a software update after several weeks of chaos.
In some ways its a pity that the stops were removed as this would make the greatest muggle challenge ever. People were in the park all day and night, in all weather, so finding a quiet moment to search would be quite impossible. On the other hand, the players were so glued to their phones that you could probably get away with anything. However for the sake of the children who were unable to use the play equipment due to adults sitting on it all day, its better to have moved on.

You do not have to go into the lower garden, please stay behind the fence. Please be discreet, replacing caches is a pain, bring some prop like a book or a bicycle so it looks like you are doing something innocuous.
