SLAGA SUMMER PICNIC 2018
ST. FRANCOIS STATE PARK
Saturday, July 21, 2018
11:00am to 3:30pm
Summer will be here before we know it!!! Come have some fun with other GEOCACHERS at beautiful St. Francois State Park.
We will be meeting at Picnic Shelter No. 2. There should be plenty of tables and chairs at this location with parking and restrooms nearby. You are more then welcome to bring extra chairs if you like. (This would be a good idea.) Wheelchair accessible and a kid playground right next to the shelter.
This is a bring your own lunch event. Bring your own food and drinks. There is a grill to cook your own meat. If anyone would like to bring a dish to share with others, that would be fantastic!
SLAGA will provide charcoal, paper plates, napkins, plastic utensils, and the normal picnic items. If you are not sure about something you need will be there, you’d better bring it yourself.
Big River flows near the picnic site. You are more than welcome to go swimming and fishing in the river. St. Francios State park offers camping, horse and hiking trails. There are plenty of geocaches in the area, for all you geocachers. Have fun exploring while you are here for the event.
This is also a true meet and greet, so there are no awards or planned activities at this time. So let us come together and talk geocaching!
Can't wait to see you all soon!
