Please be certain to view the parking coords before setting out for this cache
A free 20-minute boat shuttle transports guests from the dock at Pioneer Park to the island at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. on weekends only. The last shuttle returning to the mainland departs the island at 3:30 p.m. Children ages 17 and under must be accompanied by parent/guardian to ride the shuttle. The shuttle is dependent on weather/tidal conditions, so please call Quiet Waters Park at 954-357-5100 to confirm the shuttle is operating if the weather looks questionable.
I'm giving this a high terrain because you can take your own boat over too. The cache itself is not difficult
The given coordinates will take you to the dock on the island. When you exit the boat ramp turn left and go to the information kiosk. You will find an article about the history of the island from the Miami Herald.
To find the final coordinates you must answer the following questions from the article.
THE ARTICLE IS CURRENTLY NOT ON THE BOARD. PLEASE ASK ONE OF THE PARK RANGERS FOR THE BLUE MAP - ALL THE ANSWERS ARE ON THE BACK
N 26° A.B W 080° C.D
What year did Al Capone enter the picture? Take the last 2 digits and subtract 11 = A

What year did the peninsula become an Island? Take the last 2 digits and subtract 57 = C

you should not need to but if you want to make sure your final coords are correct here is a geochecker
