Geocache Description:

This cache is located in ruggedly beautiful Dry Canyon in the Whetstone Mountains.

Reaching the cache is straightforward: Take the Dry Canyon turnout on the west side of Highway 90. Cars or pampered trucks should park just inside the turnout; high-clearance 2WD or 4WD vehicles can drive up close to the cache site. The road isn't too bad, but anticipate some jarring ruts and Arizona pinstriping from thorny bushes along the road.

If you elect to hike in, it's an easy 2.5 miles each way. Take plenty of water!

There are two forks in the road on the way in. They are shown on the Mapquest map on this page. Pay attention to them on the way in; they're easy to miss on the way out.

The cache, a camo-ammo can, is stocked with Geocaching.com items, useful outdoorsy stuff (including camper's TP!), miscellaneous swag, a logbook/pencils, and a camera to take your picture. Please return the camera to the cache. We'll process and post your pictures when it's full.
