This cache will bring you to the quiet little city of Colonial Heights, Virginia.
Colonial Heights is a small little city, only about 8 square miles. It was initially incorporated as a town in 1926 and became a city in 1948. The City provides cultural, recreational, and historical facilities for its citizens. Violet Bank is a famous Civil War Museum, in a location which Robert E. Lee used as his headquarters during the Civil War. Southpark Mall and it's surrounding shopping complexes offers shoppers a varity of shopping experiences and easy access to I-95.
This multi-cache is 3 stages and will take you to 3 parks located within the city. Some of these locations are nestled within the surrounding neighborhoods and are visited by the locals regularly (especially if they have little kids). Stealth (possibly disguised as a picnic basket) will be required.
Word for the wise: As we have lived near Colonial Heights our entire lives, PLEASE!! PLEASE!! PLEASE!! - heed the daylight only search hours and all speed limits. We would hate to learn that a geocacher received a court summons for breaking an ordinance.
There was much bounce and a weak GPS signal while we set up this multi-cache, with coordinates bested 40ft accuracy in one stage. The hint below is in itself encrypted, in order for you to truly work for this cache.
There is a waterproof matchstick container micro for the lucky FTF.
