Geocache Description:

Wooded area, short walk ...

This cache is located at a very obscure place in Oshkosh the Glatz Brewery a.k.a. Union Brewery, Established in 1869 by John Glatz. Glatz later joined 3 or so other brewerys to form Gambrinius Brewing Co. that was located about a half mile north of here. More historical info can be found in the following link. (visit link)
The Brewery, abandoned many years ago was later turned in to a public nature park (Glatz Nature Park) that was shut down in the mid 70's. Remains of the brewery's foundation still exist and so do remains of the nature park.The brewerys foundation is refered to by local residents as the "wailing wall" for unknown reasons.
No entry signs exist anymore and the place is just turning into an overgrown woods. While your there check out the creek at the south of the park and don't forget the bug spray in the summer !
Entry to the park is at one of 2 places.
1) The Dead end of Doty St. behind Ardy & EDs drive in.Park in the turn around and enter between the brown fences.
2) The very end of 25th St. there is a faded path by the "no motor vehicles" sign.
