Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small clip and lock box containing a log book and pencil, with room for some swappables and trackables. It is located near to the old station at Sinnington (not in the village itself) along the roadside, so it can be an easy drive by with layby parking nearby. Please take care if caching with children along the road and the nearby river.

Sinnington station opened on 1st April 1875, the last to open on the Gilling and Pickering line. The Station had one platform, waiting room and ladies waiting room as well as a weigh office,  small goods yard and two station cottages. All are now privately owned and remain largely unaltered.
The staion closed in January 1953 to both passangers and freight.
