The copper mine:
1,5 km away from Stolzembourg, one can find the remains of a former copper mine, wich is more than 500 years old. During the last centuries, the vein of ore of “Klangbaach” has attracted many investors into the village, even tough it lies remote from any big industrial region. Around 1856, 1882, 1901 and 1938, the was considerable. The biggest problem for the miners was the water that always infiltrated the galleries and flooded them. The geological path permits the evaluation of the remains by putting back the mining site in its historical, geological and environmental state.
Recently, part of the underground galleries have been made accessible again to the public. 50 metres under the ground you will learn all about the hard work on the mining of copper. You can visit the mine by a guided tour start and reservation by the copper mine museum in Stolzembourg. Inform yourself for costs and the just time and date you can visit the mine.

Die Kupfergrube:
1,5 km entfernt vom Stolzembourg, befinden sich die Überreste der früheren Kupfergrube. Seit mehr als 500 Jahren haben die kupferhaltigen Erzadern des “Klangbaach” mehere Investoren nach stolzembourg gezogen, obschon es weit abgelegen ist von jeglichem Industrierevier. Um 1856, 1882, 1901 und 1938 war der abbau beachtlich. Dasgrösste Problem war jedesmal das Wasser, das die Galerien immer wieder überschwemmte.
In den letzten Jahren wurde ein Teil der unterirdischen Galerien der interessierten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht. 50 Meter unter der Erde lernen Sie den schwierigen Abbau des Kupfererzes von früher kennen.
