A small series of 3 caches in or near to Batcliffe Wood.
Please be STEALTHY as the area is well used by students and local people.
Please, also, replace the caches EXACTLY as found and with the logs in their sealed poly bags to keep them dry. Thank you.
Co-ords are averaged due to tree cover(what else, in a wood!!)
Congratulations to BRAMAG on your FTF.
Batcliffe Wood provides a "green corridor" between Kirkstall Lane and Beckett Park.
It comprises stands of mature forest trees, including horse chestnut, beech and oak.
Being on a hill it has some panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Despite it's urban location, it is, thankfully, for the most part, litter free and is particularly attractive in Spring with fresh growth on the trees and a carpet of bluebells.
The, seemingly, semi derelict house at this location is Batcliffe Wood House, of uncertain age, and future.
Sometimes the paths are VERY muddy.
