This Meet and Greet Event is the kickoff of the Boone's Lick Road GeoTrail. It will take place at the Lakeside Cafe at the St. Louis Zoo on Saturday morning from 9 to 10:30. The zoo hours of operation is 9 - 5 this time of the year, but the zoo grounds are open before 9 am so come early. We will meet at the Lakeside Cafe in the middle of the zoo complex; easy to find. And breakfast can be purchased at the cafe as well.
Copies of the Geotrail Passport will be available and you can see the Geocoins as well. After the event, the caches making up the geotrail will be published.
Parking is available in the south lot or in the north lot, but there is a $15 parking fee. However, parking is free along the streets and if you come early it should be plentiful. As I mentioned above, the zoo grounds are open before 9 am.
As you may have heard, the St. Louis Zoo was rated as the Number 1 free attraction in the country. So after the event, take some time to visit the zoo; see the big cats, visit with the polar bear, see the penguins, and by all means ride the Emerson Zooline Railroad (my personal favorite).
