This cache has been archived.

Jestjuggle: Thanx again to everyone who made this monthy event special for Wide Glide. And a HUGE thanx to WG for all the work and effort in locating interesting areas, hiding and maintaining over 100 caches for us in the caching community to find. It's an accomplishment we highly respect.

Geocache Description:

This is a monthly gathering on the first Tuesday of the month. We plan to gather at new locations each month. So, mark your calendar now! The official name of this event was voted on last month and the winner is (drumroll, please) Central CT Cacher's Night Out.

The name has been slightly changed this month in honor of a special geocacher!

Wide Glide

We are commemorating Wide Glide's Centennial Hide. That is right folks he has hidden over 100 caches for the rest of us to log. Stress Test was his 100th hide. Since then he has hidden an additional three caches. I think we all owe him thanks for all his hides and his many history lessons. After all he is the "Best Dam Cacher" in these parts.

We are planning a special suprise for Wide Glide. For more information you can visit The Jestcaching Blog - Wide Glide's Surprise. No peeking Sam!! OR you can contact Jestjuggle.

A drawing will be held for any donated items. Please contribute if you'd like. Bring those travel bugs and we’ll try to help them with their missions.

This event will also feature new or rotating hosts every month. If you have an interest in hosting, please contact Katydid & Miles Stone. As host, you’ll select a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. There are a number of places in the Greater Hartford area to enjoy good food and drinks. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee and are within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area.

This months event is Tues. Nov 1st 7 pm at: John Harvards Brew House 1487 Pleasant Valley Road Manchester, CT 06040 Phone: 860-644-2739

This location has earned The Hartford Advocate's Readers' Poll for best Pub Food.

Hope to see you there! Mike and Barb
