Welcome to The Monkey Jungle Series.
I discovered this woodland whilst looking for some new caching ground in 2014 and fell in love with it. There are some awesome tree's in here and some stunning views when you get to the far side of the forest. My favourite thing though, is that you hardly ever see anyone else!!
The Monkey Jungle series has 7 caches plus a bonus cache, all of which are above head height and involve you climbing and swinging around in tree's, hence the name "Monkey Jungle". To enable you to find the Bonus cache you will have to collect the info as you go round from inside the caches and do the simple puzzle on the bonus page to find the location. The Bonus cache is listed as 5/5 rated because by the time you get to it you will have earned the right to claim the 5/5 D/T.
The series has a selection of tree climbs to suit all abilities, there are 2 smaller Freeclimbs too. If you are a competent climber you shouldn’t really struggle with any of the caches and I would appreciate any feedback from the first few finders reference the D/T ratings etc so I can get them just right.
YOU WILL REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT:-
50m Rope
Helmet
Climbing Harness/Climbing Equipment
Safety Team or Climbing Buddy
Pen/Pencil
Leathermans/Pliers
Tweezers
Digital Camera
A SENSE OF HUMOUR
3G/4G is pretty non existant in the woods so it might be a good idea to note any clues/hints etc before heading out, You have been warned!!
The tracks around the bottom edge of the wood get VERY boggy during the colder/wetter months so decent footwear is recommended
Every who claims the cache must make the climb to the cache, NO mass safety parties logging as found!!
