Geocache Description:

It's a bright June day in 1986 and Linus eyes a pretty girl having lunch alone on the school playground. He asks if he can join her for lunch. The girl then asks him, "I don't know..When were you born?"  Linus replies that he was born in October, while the girl replies that she was born in December.  Thus, her answer, "Aren't you kind of old for me?"

In the classroom, the girl sits behind Linus and, much to his annoyance, calls him, "Mister"!  Over the months ahead, we see her going by names such as  Jezebel, Sarah, Rachel, Rebecca, Susan, Polly,Melissa, Samantha, Claudia, Anne, Ophelia and Snowflake.  Eventually, Linus learns her real name--Lydia.

While Linus seems taken with Lydia at first, his feelings towards her eventually run on the cool side of lukewarm.  By the time she takes an interest in him, it's too late.

Lydia is placed in the same woods as another of Linus' crushes, Truffles. The park is closed between November and April. However, if you look at the  "Geocaching.com map" (first in the list of maps on this page), and then click on "satellite" view, you'll see where there are multiple ways of reaching these woods. Perhaps the easiest (when the park is closed) is to park near "Woody Woodpecker" on Tenderfoot Trail and follow the dirt bike trails to Lydia & Truffles.

Lydia is a green bison tube. The park is open from 9 AM to dusk.
