Geocache Description:

This cache is about a 4 1/2 mile walk which will take 2 3/4 hours. The cache its self could be found pretty quickly if you head straight from one sight to another and are used to walking. The cache is a Camera / Log Book & Toys .Small toys etc.
Along the trail I have asked you four questions unrelated to the cache its self but are design to make you think a little about what history your village or town may have that 99% of you living there would not know.
For this cache you will need to take a good pair of walking boots, which are water proof as you may get your feet wet depending upon how much rain we have had in the past few days. Also trousers would be advised as one clue & two short parts of the foot path are pretty over grown with nettles on them. If you have an OS map sheet 140 bring it along as well. You may also like a flask of tea and some sandwiches as there are two or three nice spots for a pic-nick. You will pass the village Pub twice on your journey so stop off for a break if you wish.

1. Head into the village and turn down Winston Avenue. Park at N52,33.444 W001,14.333.
2. The first set of co-ordinates are kept securely at the Old Trolls House at 230ft N52, 32.867 W001,15.440 . You should find them after a short hunt around. Were do trolls live exactly ?.
3. Before setting off to your new destination, answer this Question A. When standing on the Trolls roof pointing NNE what T on the horizon do I paint white once a year and preceded your GPS system ?.
4. Now follow the river bank down stream. Be careful of Dave's crops. When you come across the hide out of the second Troll, Enter his Hidy Hole and look down stream. The second set of co-ordinates are also firmly secured 25 yards in front of you. They are well hidden in a place Toad Rat & Mole ? might like to play ?.
5. These new co-ordinates are your final destination.
6. To get out of this common land you are on head SE. You will find the gate near the old railway terrace houses. Once at the road turn left and walk on the foot path round by the church up to gate at the base of the Hill.
7. Now go and study the feature in the ground at 384ft N52, 33.920 W001,14.982 An ideal flat spot for a Pic Nic Question B. Long before the Quarry and the Houses were at the base of the Hill what sort of Course was the Hill part of ( Its A Sport ) ?.
If you have not yet done the, Neither On The Hill Or In The Hole, Cache it is only 400ft away from you.
8. Now to get to the Three Trolls cache, walk down Stanton Lane unit you get to mraF tooF lliH, then Follow The Foot Path across the old meadows. Gets A little Boggy, and there are beast ( Cows ) until you reach the cache.
9. As the Troll is presently away on vacation he has left the cache in his close neighbours house for safe keeping. From his vantage point he will see you coming ( See Inscription small card cue in Bird Box, Or the cache is 20 meters behind and to the right of the Bird Box, under a Log) ( This cache has been stolen once in, FEB 03 please hide well ). Now you have the cache please fill out the log and take a photo. Its a shorter walk back to the car if you follow this route.
10. First walk the short distance to N52, 33.749 W001, 15.960 Question C What C was the centre of this village which is no longer there. The farm house used to have a moat around it as well.
11. If you head on the foot path from the C, EES it will bring you back out by the church in the village. Be careful of Mr Holts Crops.
12. Once outside the church proceed to N52, 33.514 W001,14.729 .Look closely at the features on this bridge and the flat field adjacent. Question D What sort of Ring used to be here around 1890 ( Cold Sport ).
13. Finally if you enter N52, 33.444 W001,14.333 into your GPS and walk across the flat field up the subway path you will be back at your car.

I hope you have had a nice walk

Robert
