(English will follow) Omdat er nog geen cache verstopt was in
Suriname, aan mij de eer er een paar te verstoppen. De eerste is
verstopt in het tropisch regenwoud, ca. 100 kilometer ten zuiden
van de hoofdstad Paramaribo.
Om de cache zal je een flinke wandeling moeten maken. Tijdens
een groot deel van deze cache is vanwege het dikke bladerdek haast
geen signaal ontvangst mogelijk.

Na ongeveer een kwartier lopen kom je bij het volgende
uitzicht.
De coördinaten van dit uitzicht zijn verstopt bij de hints en
spoilers. Halverwege de route kom je bij een serie watervallen:
Nu is het nog ca. een uur lopen naar de cache. Neem voldoende
water mee. De watervallen kunnen in omvang overigens verschillen.
De foto's zijn genomen in een droge periode. Bij grote regenval
kunnen de watervallen indrukwekkend worden.

There was no cache hidden in Surinam. I took the honour, to be the
first and place some caches. This is the first cache. It is hidden
in the tropical rainforest, about 100 kilometers south of the
capital paramaribo. A long hike through the rainforest is needed to
find the cache. Because of the dense tree population, satelite
signal is rare.

Halfway on the route you'll come accross a serie of
waterfalls:
From here it is about an hour walk to the cache. Bring enough
water, unless you trust the water from the waterfalls, I did not.
The size of the waterfalls can differ depending on the amount of
rainfall in the previous period. The picture were taken in a dry
period. In a period of huge rainfall the waterfalls can grow to
imense proportions.
