Kätkö
sijaitsee Tahkokankaan luontopolun varrella. Polulle pääsee
parhaiten Kaukovainion kuntoradalta, jonka varrelta polku alkaa.
Muutaman kilometrin pituinen metsäpolku kulkee vanhassa
pohjalaisessa kuusimetsässä. Reitin varrelta saa yleistä tietoa
metsien hoidosta, käytöstä ja ekologiasta. Koko reitti on merkitty
keltavihrein seipäin ja kosteiden paikkojen yli pääsee pitkospuita
pitkin. Reitin varrella on myös nuotiopaikka. Reitti on Oulun
vanhin teemapolku ja se on ollut käytössä jo 20 vuotta.

The cache is
located along the Tahkokangas nature trail. The best way to get
onto the trail is to find its signed starting point along the
Kaukovainio jogging track. This 2 kilometer trail goes in an old
fir tree forest. The signs on the trail tell you about forestry,
forest use and ecology. The whole route is signed with yellow-green
sticks and there is also a causeway going over the most wet places.
Along the trail there´s also a place for a campfire. The route is
the oldest nature subject trail in Oulu and it has been in use for
over 20 years.
Do not disturb the nature when searching for the
cache!
