Urupää kätkölleni pääset ajamalla Saariselän keskuksesta noin 5 kilometriä Ivaloon päin nelostietä ja kääntymällä mustan pienen Urupää viitan kohdalta. Sieltä on kätkölle matkaa 1,5-2 kilometriä. Suosittelisin pientä kävellen tapahtuvaa reippailua loppumatkalle.
Helpointa on seurata huipulle hiekkatietä. Hiekkatien reitin näet helpoiten Kaunispään päältä tai sitten matkalta ajaessasi kohti kätköpaikkaa Saariselän suunnasta. Kätkön lähellä (noin 200 metrin päässä siitä) on valkoinen iso antenni. Maasturin omistajat voivat omalla vastuulla kokeilla onneaan. Reitti on normaali Tojo HJ:n omistalle helpponakki, city maasturilla voip olla tekemistä. Urupään päältä näkyy likimain samat näkymät kuin Kaunispäältäkin, siellä on vain vähemmän ruuhkaa. Niin ja jos et ole Kaunispään kätköä vielä käynyt ”korkaamassa” niin ota toki suunta kohti sitä seuraavaksi. Tosi miehet menee kenkimillä ja vähemmän tosikot ajelee autolla päälle.VAROITUS: PIDÄ TUO 100-200 METRIÄ ETÄISYYTTÄ ANTENNIIN!You can reach Uropää cache by driving Highway 4 (E75) about 5 kilometers from Saariselkä centre to direction of Ivalo village. There you can see black small sign “Uropää”, turn there. The cache is about 1,5 to 2 kilometres away from the sigh. I would recommend a little stroll to cache by small side road.The side road is the easies way to top. Check the route of the side road when you are visiting the Kaunispää peak or when you are driving main road from Saariselkä to cache. There is a big white antenna next to cache (about 200 meters from it). If you have a 4 x 4 you can try to drive up – your own risk! The route is quite easy to Toyota HJ (USA: Toyota FJ) owners; those “City” 4 x 4 owners might be in trouble.The view from Uropää is nearly same as from Kaunispää peak. Its just less crowded. And if you have not checked my Kaunispää cache just hike from Uropää to Kaunispää or drive by the car.WARNING - KEEP THAT 100 TO 200 METERS DISTANCE TO THE ANTENNA!
