Let's show our geocaching creativity and decorate a roadside Christmas tree with a geocaching theme. Please bring an ornament or two or three if you choose, or other suitable tree decorating items. I will bring several ornaments I have created, and a "paper" chain that will be our event log. Be aware the trees are on the side of a hill, and next to a busy freeway, it will require climbing the side of the hill tree climbing will be optional. Small children (under 5) and pets are discouraged. However bring your family, as this is a family friendly event. Additional parking is available at Spicewood springs. This event has become an annual event so lets make it bigger and better! Please check out the pictures and logs from the past two years! We will be hosting a CITO in the area after the first of the year to help ensure this family friendly fun activity does not create a enviromental hazard to the nearby balcones wood watershed area and the local enviroment. We all know we will be enviromentally responsible with our tree decorating (no glass, breakables, icicles, or any other items that might damage the local ecological area please). This years event will be the week before Thanksgiving to ensure a good selection of trees to choose from.
