Geocache Description:

Park at the nearby turnout, EZ access.
Please replace exactly as found.

Because of grain in the nearby fields, this area is known for good dove hunting. Columbidae is the subfamily name of the order Columbiforms, class Aves, subphylum Vertebrata, phylum Chordata, kingdom Animalia. Common to this area are the Eurasian Collared Doves and the Rock Pigeon Doves. There are about 300 dove species.

The dove build flimsy nests from sticks and other debris and are usually found in trees and even on the ground. They lay 1 to 2 eggs and both parents tend to the young, leaving the nest after about two weeks.
