We are inviting all of you to join us once again for a geocacher greet, meet, and eat! TEN is what it is all about.
The event will take place at 10/10/10 starting at 10:00AM in the morning!! Come and join us for breakfast or just for a chat, just come. Bring your mother, your friends and family. Bring as many Geocacher teams with as you can. Kids are welcome! Lets make this the biggest Geocaching event of the year for JHB.
This year Geocaching is 10 years old as well as Groundspeak celebrating 10 years. Geocaching.com is aiming to break the previous record of 56 654 teams logging on one day. We are asking that you come and join us, even if you are new or just a little interested in treasure hunting but don't know where to start, come along. WE WANT TO MEET YOU! Don’t be shy, come and meet some new friends and become part of the coolest treasure hunting sport in the world!!
Come out and meet some new cachers, new hiders, new faces, and enjoy some time with old friends and the like. Stop in for a minute or a couple of hours, you are always welcome. If you are from far or travelling through town, please come to the event and share some of your stories.
The event will be held at Lanseria Airport, upstairs in the Wiesenhof (Previously Wings) restaurant. Breakfast is very reasonable, either buffet or from the menu. If you plan to come later, lunch or a cup of coffee are also welcome. The costs will be for your own account. We ask that all who attend to please sign the event log book, regardless of the time spent at the event. There will also be a lucky draw for a Geocoin later on in the morning.
The event will start at 10:00 and will run through till at least 15:00 in the afternoon. Many geocachers are doing the flash mob event GC1Y2J3 in Pretoria first and then come through at around 11:00. We are attempting to hide 9 more caches in the area for the event, all help welcome.
Please indicate you willingness to attend by logging an "Attend" for this event. Also indicate the number of people in your party.
