Geocache Description:

The 5 turbines that make up the community-owned wind farm at Westmill are now an established local landmark. They now have company in the form of a 30 acre photovoltaic solar array which went live at the end of July 2011. This should generate enough electricity to power 1000 households, and it's the first combined wind and solar farm in the UK. The plan is that the solar farm will also be owned by the community.

The little parking layby does get a bit littery even though there's a litter bin a few hundred yards up the A420, so I have put several home-made "Cache In, Trash Out" (CITO) bags in the cache. They are actually supermarket carrier bags in 35mm film pots. If you are able to use them that would be great.

If you are planning to find my nearby "Force 10: Backlands" cache I strongly suggest driving round to the parking area rather than trying to cross the very busy A420 on foot.

Congratulations to steckerl family for being FTF.
