The Barges of Port Gardner Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

EraSeek: It's been a great ride and satisfaction has come in providing an adventure for all, but it may be some time before I can get out to fix this cache and I have often worried about someone getting hurt one this one so I think I'll go ahead and archive this little gem. Thanks one and all for sharing your adventures.

Geocache Description:

"Cache seekers (hold harmless the cache owner) and assumes all risks and responsibilities involved in seeking this cache." The decisions you make and actions you take are yours.

I wrote a nice little story for this cache, but I think it best to provide information. This is a cache that requires a boat. It is located where Port Gardner, Port Susan, Possesion Sound, Ebby Slough, Steamboat Slough, and the Snohomish river all meet. Pay attention to the hazards! Tides, mud, deteriorating derelicts.

If you climb up on the decks, they are a major hazard and you may fall through! Even reaching the cache is hazardous. Spikes, bolts, cables, and planking may come apart while you are using them. You have been warned!

The cache is an ammo can filled with books and ready-to-go caches. I put it at the highest point I could after retreating from the decks. Hopefully it is high enough to survive.
