Geocache Description:

A two stage multicache hidden along the Newton Blackmour State Trail. There is parking available near the first WP, which will have the information/clues needed to find the regular sized final cache.

Do you know how sometimes you'll have an idea in your head but you just can't get it to come into focus? The idea behind this cache was like that for me. The flotsam and jetsam were casting about in my grey matter but just wouldn't crystallize into anything substantial. This happens all the time with me and it usually ends with me realizing that the idea just became too sophisticated or it advanced beyond my ability to create. Soooo many cache ideas end up on a giant scrap heap in my mind.

But, then I saw another cache that kicked the idea for this cache from the "potential" column into the "realistic" column. Suddenly, I all those parts and pieces came together with an audible click. And this cache was born. The credit for the idea really goes to another hider from the United States but to reveal who that hider is (or where he hides caches) opens the door to having the cache somewhat spoiled. I'll just say that that hider encourages others to take his ideas and place similar, if not identical, caches around their own home turf. That's what I'm doing here. It's similar but not a carbon copy of the original. If you have found the original, then you know what you're in for here . Ha! Nope! Try again.

While this is a typical multicache in design, the execution is anything but typical. At WP1, you will find a container that holds the "tools" and instructions you'll need to determine where the final is. Both stages should be pretty easy to find. The fun will be in figuring out the final coordinates, which shouldn't be too taxing (but what I think is simple could be a little trickier than I imagined). The final is a regular sized cache and should not be very difficult to find. WP1 is something I've not yet personally encountered incorporated into a geocache. If you've found one that uses the same premise, let me know...if it's close enough, I'd like to go find it myself!

I like finding/creating geocaches that are a bit more interactive and that's why this cache really appealed to me and why I wanted to create it. This should be a great cache for kids to find! As the name of the cache implies, all it takes is some common sense!

If you get to WP1 and have any issue with any of the objects, let me know ASAP. There is a bit of uncertainty as to how long the tools at WP1 will remain viable, but I'm prepared to fix them up if the need arises. Also, please refrain from mentioning spoilers in your log...it's better for those who have not found this cache to not know what to expect. Just make sure to replace everything the way you have found it. Thanks!

At the posted coordinates, you can park alongside the roadway. From there, it's very short hike to the final.
