Vous verrez en vous approchant du village de Rougier, une
chapelle avec château médiéval qui sont perchés au sud sur un
chaîne rocheuse..
Vous avez deux possibilités pour accéder au site soit vous
marchez depuis le village par le sentier des excursionnistes
toulonnais soit vous suivez la route grâce aux indications qui vont
vous conduire à un parking qui se trouve à moins de 20 minutes de
marche du site.
Attention comme beaucoup de lieux boisés en Provence celui-ci
pourrait être interdit d'accès pendant la période estivale à cause
des risques d'incendie de forets. Vous devez restez très prudents
durant toute l'année.
Une fois arrivée près du château si vous êtes accompagner
d'enfants faite attention car certains parties peuvent être
dangereuses à cause des risques de chute depuis la crête.
La cache est a l'extérieur du château sous un arbuste avec une
belle vue c'est un coin idéal si vous apportez votre
casse-croûte.
Ne pas oublier les chapeaux et de l'eau.

Le Castrum
Saint-Jean ; les vestiges de ce grand Castrum érigé dans la
seconde moitié du XIIe siècle, après la destruction en 1150 d'un
habitat antérieur, sont inscrites à l'Inventaire Supplémentaire des
Monuments Historiques. L'ensemble du Castrum était enserré dans une
enceinte continue. Il comportait un château, au petit donjon carré
entouré du logis seigneurial et de dépendances qui occupaient sur
la crête une position défensive évidente. En contrebas de
nombreuses petites maisons d'habitation d'environ 20 à 60 m
s'étageaient suivant un plan qui s'adapte parfaitement au relief et
aux conditions climatiques.
Le Castrum Saint-Jean :The vestiges of this big
Castrum set up in second half of XII-th century, after the
destruction in 1150 of a previous environment, are registered on
the Supplementary Inventory of Ancient memorials. The set of
Castrum was enclosed in a continuous surrounding wall. It contained
a castle, in the small square donjon surrounded with the
seigneurial lodging house and with the dependences which occupied
on the crest an evident defensive position. Below numerous small
