Sunday 24th September 8am-9am

Phew!  What I am offering is a central rubbish collection point and a smashing breakfast of bacon sangas for the happy rubbish collectors.  This is the 'Selfish CITO', a chance to clean up a small part of your environment.  Monday to Friday I travel down these roads to work and I can't help but notice an amount of litter along the roadside, whether it be from wind or litterbugs it's an eyesore.  Often I wish that I was dressed appropriately and had the time to stop and just perform a little bit of CITO to clean it up.  Well today is that day!

I encourage you to think about that spot that you notice as you go about your daily routine.  That spot that niggles at you with it's little bit of rubbish - perhaps it's your local park, the fence line of a nearby school, an area around your own geocache or a stretch of road as you drive to work.  This morning I want you to take the time, make sure you're dressed right, have the appropriate tools of the trade (fluro vest, gloves, bags, grabber etc) and just get the job done.  Then it's a simple matter of bringing your 'Selfish CITO' to the drop off point, loading it onto the ute (see what I did there - you load it!). Then making your way over to where I am going to have a BBQ going with some bacon and fresh bread ready for you to construct a yummy breakfast and have a chat with all the other CITO'ers.

Prior to the event I will nominate a few little areas (waypoints - check closer to the date) that could do with some CITO near the event in case you are traveling from further afield and don't wish to cart rubbish across town.  I will also have a very small collection of fluro vests (4), some bags and gloves if you would like to collect from the event.

Above all remember that this clean up is at your own risk and you need to consider all safety precaution particularly with children.
