Geocache Description:

A mile from the parking spot to the stone along an easy cycle track - walk, run, take the dog, bike or roller skate there!

Park at N52° 48.384' W002° 08.090' and follow the clearly marked path. Alternatively park at Stafford Castle taking in Any Fort and Dave's Cache and follow the Castlechurch Walk there.

The Mile Stone is at Duddas Wood near Derrington, a 23 acre site planted with native broad-leaved trees under the Woodland Trust 'Woods on Your Doorstep' scheme, and was officially opened in December 2000 by Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal.

It's a great spot, unusual as it's so accessible yet lies a stone's throw away from the M6. While you're here, try and find the bench placed by the Friends of John Denver to remember him!

The cache is hidden in the centre of Dundas Wood. This glacial boulder dates back over 10,000 years and is the same type as the more well known Glacial Boulder on Cannock Chase.

No clues - look hard and if you do need to know what you're looking for, it's at the top of this page.

No room for swaps although there is a log book.
